New Haven DUI Enforcement

(12/30/2007) The New Haven Police Department today announced that it will be continuing its enforcement crackdown into the New Year under the title: “Drunk Driving. Over the Limit. Under Arrest.” The intensified enforcement effort against drunk drivers underscores the severity of the problem both locally and across the nation.

Over the Christmas holiday, New Haven Police arrested ten drivers for operating under the influence. This enforcement effort will continue into 2008. In addition to increasing DUI enforcement patrols around the city, the New Haven Police will also be conducting sobriety checkpoints at the following locations:

• College Street

• Ella Grasso Boulevard

• Foxon Boulevard
